(Liz) Keim - President of ASQ
Elizabeth
Keim assumed the presidency of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) on
July 1, 2002.
A member since 1990, Keim has held increasingly responsible
positions in ASQ, including chair of the Denver Section, regional
councilor, and national treasurer and vice president.
An expert in service quality management, Keim also served as chair
of ASQ’s Service Quality Division.
Keim
is currently managing partner at Integrated Quality Resources in Boulder,
CO, where she works with clients worldwide on business results improvement
through the integration of diverse methodologies such as the Malcolm
Baldrige criteria, ISO 9000 quality systems standards, and the Six Sigma
breakthrough methodology.
She is a Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt trained at GE
Plastics and the Six Sigma Academy.
She holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an
emphasis in accounting and finance from Regis University and a Bachelor of
Science in computer science and mathematics from Colorado State
University.
She is an ASQ Certified Quality Manager and Certified Quality
Auditor.
During
a 17-year career at IBM Global Services in technical and management
positions, Keim was responsible for quality program strategy, development,
and implementation.
Following that, she was the global commercial quality leader at GE
Plastics, where she was responsible for worldwide implementation of Six
Sigma methodology in the company’s non-manufacturing processes.
Keim
is the author of numerous articles on service quality, strategic quality
planning, and Six Sigma implementation.
She is a member of the American Management Association and a
founding member of the World Quality Council.
